Got his RNDr. degree in computer science from Comenius University in Bratislava, Slovak Republic and MSc. degree in computer science from University of Rochester, Rochester, NY, respectively.
PhD degree in management from the Faculty of management, Comenius University in Bratislava (PhD. thesis "Manager and the security of organization's IS").
From 1996 Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) - the first CISA in the Slovak Republic.
Founder (in 1994) and until the end of 2000 chairman of a regular (biweekly) information security seminar in Bratislava.
Lectures information security at the Faculty of Management of Comenius University in Bratislava, and the Faculty of Natural Sciences of University of SS. Cyril & Methodius in Trnava, Slovak Republic.
Founding member of the Slovak Society for Computer Science (www.informatika.sk), founding member of the Association for security of IT - ASIT (www.asit.sk), and founding member of the Slovak chapter of Information Systems Audit and Control Association - ISACA Slovensko (www.isaca.sk).
Represents Slovak Republic in IFIP (International Federation for Information Processing) Technical Committee on Security and Protection in Information Processing Systems - IFIP TC11 (www.ifip.tu-graz.ac.at/TC11/index.html).
